NEW YORK — A time-lapse video of a man trapped in an elevator for 41 hours has become something of an Internet sensation after surveillance camera footage emerged of the event which occurred nearly a decade ago.
"After a certain period of time I knew that I was in pretty big trouble because it was the weekend," Nicholas White said Monday on ABC-TV's "Good Morning America."
Video of his Oct. 15, 1999, ordeal in an elevator in New York's McGraw-Hill building was posted online to accompany an article in the April 21 edition of The New Yorker.
It can be seen on the magazine's Web site and had been viewed more than 280,000 times on YouTube by Monday morning.
White said he understood why the video has captured people's attention: So many have wondered what they would do if it happened to them.
Edited to a soundtrack of classical piano music, the video shows him pacing, trying to climb the walls, lying down, curled up in a fetal position, prying apart the doors. (He said he relieved himself down the shaft when the doors were open.)
White sued the managers of the midtown skycraper and the elevator maintenance company and won an undisclosed settlement.
He was a production manager for Business Week when he left his office about 11 p.m. Friday for a cigarette break.
According to the article, it was never determined exactly why the elevator stalled though there was talk of a voltage dip.

Not bad. I've always loved Janet for her dancing. The beat and style of video for Rock with U is very Madonna, but different for Janet. It's pretty much anything goes for music right now.

Extra went behind the scenes covering Paula's video for her new single "Dance Like There's No Tomorrow", produced by Randy Jackson. The American Idol team have cameo's in the video and Simon was very unhappy about having to appear.

I've been listening to the Seventh Tree, a departure from their last electronic/pop album, but they've been known to change their style with the times. Allison's been getting some grief about her her new MK and Ashley Olsen appearance, but I think she's cute.
My fav tracks so far are "Clowns" and "Monster Love".

Rather than being influenced by the 80's , she proves what little talent she has by referencing 80's videos in a satire. She know not what she do, Timbaland put the song together and I love everything he does, so I'm sure this song will grow on me.
Brad talked to Charlie Rose about his children. He says he and Angelina Jolie want to have between 7 and 9 kids, but instead of saying "have" he says "crap out".
I already cannot stand to hear him speak. His voice is so dumb and I want to like the poor dude, but he makes me cringe when he speaks. He cannot seem to answer a question properly, his little pee brain is just racing around in that hollow head of his looking for an answer, but can never seem to find it.
I no long feel sorry for him, nor for Angelina Jolie for being with a dude that says they will "crap out" more kids. She needs to go public to spin that shit.

It seems like it was just yesterday that she was looking for 3 body doubles to take her place in the nude scenes reminiscent of the iconic Marilyn Monroe... my how time flies when your keeping up with Britney's insanity.

Amy Winehouse has a new video out for her "Love is a Losing Game" single. Poor little Amy isn't able to get to the jail house on time to visit husband Blake during visitation hours, so how in world could they get her to show up for a video.
They didn't even bother, the director used solely stock footage to piece together what comprises 2 1/2 minutes of a sober Amy. She's probably only been sober for a total of 2 1/2 minutes since she met Blake.
Amy missed her conjugal visit today when she went to see Blake, again! She arrived at 1pm and was told too bad so sad. Amy pitched a fit, but they didn't budge. You'd think she'd realize that love is a losing game, especially when you can't manage to wake up in time for it.
