The cool, lovely Roisin Murphy played her first U.S show in NYC, at Manhattan’s Mansion nightclub, which was formerly Crobar. Roisin tells Arjanwrites that she was a little hesitant to play to a U.S. crowd, uncertain of the turnout, but was pleasantly surprised to find that hundreds of fans turned out to a soldout show.

We’ve followed Roisin over the past several years and she is a master at on-stage performance, evidenced here in her performance of “Overpowered”.

She plans to return to the U.S. after her European tour and will be joining SXSW in Austin, as well as dates in Atlanta, San Francisco and L.A. in March.

I have always loved Moloko and the innovative Roisin Murphy remains one of my all time favos.

Miss Roisin Murphy, former lead singer of Moloko is out on her now and currently on tour.

Saturday night, while playing Ikra Club in Moscow, Roisin hit her head on a chair that was on stage being used for a prop, during a performance of "Primitive". She slammed her head so hard that it broke her superciliary arches bones right above one of her eyes. She immediately left the stage and was rushed to the hospital.

She's such a great performer and is her own person. I just love her.

A fan caught the accident on video and posted it on YouTube.

We wish her well!!
