SNL keeps the hits coming and this week was no exception. John and Cindy McCain joined in for some laughs last night and I have to say, it's the most interesting and/or charming he's been this entire election.

The value of the night was in Amy Poehler's rap, where she blasted Sarah Palin for hunting moose, her foreign policy experience, her geeky husband and the age of her running mate. We always find Amy to be a little over-rated, but she brought it last night.

As you probably already know, Sarah Palin has no rhythm.

Stay tuned after the clip to watch Bill Mahr's Religulous - looking forward.

Tina Fey has done an incredible job at spoofing the Rep VP, Sarah Palin. Sarah Palin claims to have an impression of Tina Fey, herself, so SNL just might allow her to share that with America, on the Weekend Update, on their new Thursday night show schedule.

And what would she do to imitate the comdedian? Well good question, it's not like Tina Fey has a particular accent, or a specific thing she says, because she's a comedian! Her job is to impersonate other people, so they are considering giving Sarah Palin the role of Tina Fey in the American Express comercials. Sound funny? Not at all.

Tina is not giving political VP speeches, so why have Sarah do Tina's job? Of course their ratings are higher than they have been in years. The Palin skits have even beat out Justin Timberlake's "D**k in a Box skit. "

Don't sell out SNL... you just got your audience back.

Finally a new character, "Baby Hands".

I can't imagine what prompted Kristen Wiig to write the Lawrence Welk skit on SNL, last night, but it was grand. She plays a character from The Lawrence Welk Show that has a five head and the worlds tiniest hands.

Here is also, The Lennon Sisters from The Lawrence Welk show, singing, while wheeling babies out on stage.

"We ask ourselves, what would a Maverick do and we do that!", Tina Fey nailed her spot-on impression of the VP candidate Sarah Palin, again on SNL last night. Queen Latifa played the part Gwen Ifill, pimping out her new book.

I'm so glad Tina hit on Sarah's ineffective use of words, that's gets me more than the "Joe Sixpack", winking, Alaska namedropping, and over-use of the word "there".

Did you know Mark Zuckerberg has really good comedic timing?

You may know him as a balmy, slightly boring 23 year old billionaire, but he'll be showing his flair on Saturday Night Live, April 5 episode. Mark will provide the opening monologue as well appear in a number of sketches.

Appearing on the sketch comedy show is something Zuckerberg has wanted to do for a long time, a close friend confided to CNET News.com.

“Mark actually has really good comic timing,” the friend said on condition of anonymity, out of the fear that Zuckerberg might “de-friend” him on Facebook if his identity were revealed. “He’s got this totally hilarious side that nobody ever gets to see except his stuffed animals and sometimes his investors. Ever since Justin Timberlake did that sweet music video on the show, he’s been aching to go on SNL. He had his assistant call up NBC but they were all like, ‘Mark who?’” Oh no, Mark, don't put your d*** in a box.

Sources close to NBC have confirmed that Mark will be acting in a parody of his disastrous SXSW interview with BusinessWeek columnist Sarah Lacy. “This time, people are going to be throwing stuff at them,” one source said. “Apparently they’re going to have a lightsaber fight, too.”

Lacy will be portrayed by SNL regular Andy Samberg.

Zuckerberg will also play “a crazed Barack Obama supporter” in another sketch, according to script details leaked to News.com. His role in a third sketch is less clear, but the costume department has reportedly been asked to create a “pink polka-dotted fur suit” that fits Zuckerberg’s compact frame.

Reports that Zuckerberg would also be sporting drag and portraying John McCain’s wife could not be confirmed at the time of publication. “But he’s definitely going to be playing a girl in something,” a Facebook colleague hinted. “He’s been working on his falsetto in board meetings.”

SNL has been known to kill a career, uh hem, Ashlee Simpson, and since Facebook is reportedly heading towards an initial public offering, one might ask if this is the right time for Mark Zuckerberg to attempt to become the funny guy. One Deutsche Bank analyst commented,“I guess it couldn’t hurt, unless he really f***s it up.”

As long as Sarah Lacy is not in audience, I think he'll be fine. We'll be watching!

Hillary was also on SNL last night as part of her campaign trail. It wasn't very good because Amy Poehler is not funny, nor does she do even a remotely close impression of Hillary Clinton, but I enjoyed seeing the spirit in the Hills. We all know Hillary doesn't have much of a personality.

Ellen Page and Ryan Samberg did a skit on SNL last night, where Ellen played gay.

Hummmmm?

Tina Fey returned to Saturday Night Live this weekend and made her case for why Hillary Clinton needs to be president. She was on point!

Go Texas, Go Ohio... vote, vote, vote.

If we want change, if we want a revival in patriotism for our country that we've all begun to disdain, if we want freedom and peace.... We NEED HILLARY!

Vote Hillary Clinton! You still get your Obama on the side, but Hillary is the wise choice. The experienced choice. A level head on an iron bed.

Vote Hillary Clinton!!

Saturday Night Live went on amidst the writer's strike

This weekend the SNL cast performed for less than 200 people in Upright Citizens Brigade theater.

Norah Jones and Yo Le Tengo were guests. The cast performed previously written sketches that were too hot for TV or cut for some other reason. Michael Cera's was the host and read monologues written for Donald Trump, Paris Hilton, and a few others. Also Fred Armisen played a naked Mahmoud Ahmadinejad.

Sounds fun!!!

Spoon's new album 'Ga Ga Ga Ga Ga' is awesome. In case you missed them on SNL last weekend, here is their performance of "Cherrybomb".

John Bon Jovi is on this week, Sat., Oct. 13, with musical guests, Foo Fighter's .
