Miley is now saying she is embarrassed by the photo. She should be, not only is the suggestive photo a bad idea, she looks like pure shit.

She wants to play like adult, she'll get slammed like an adult.

She is 15. Miley gets too much press and has too many little fans to portray this kind of sultriness. Does Disney expect little girls to buy the Hannah Montana wigs and outfits to dress up like their favorite star? Yes. Why would this be any different? There are so many reasons why this is wrong. She has the right to model and get as naked as she'd like, but not while she's selling it to the youths of America. If she wants to be artistic, she needs to take her country snaggle-tooth ass to the runways of Paris and see how far she gets.

Now the 15 year old hillbilly has issued a statement to PEOPLE on Sunday, apologizing for a series of playfully provocative photos that circulated on the Internet last week, as well as those from a racy, as-yet unreleased Vanity Fair photo shoot in which she appears to be nude.

"My goal in my music and my acting is always to make people happy. For Vanity Fair, I was so honored and thrilled to work with Annie [Leibovitz]. I took part in a photo shoot that was supposed to be 'artistic' and now, seeing the photographs and reading the story, I feel so embarrassed."

Her parents, grandmother and "handlers", that were said to be on set, should be ashamed of themselves.

With all the slutty pics surfacing on the net, I guess Destiny, 15, thought it would be a good time to make a change. She decided to change her birth name "Destiny Hope Cyrus", officially to "Miley Ray Cyrus".

She's always been called "Miley" by family and friends, so she wanted that to be her legal name, and chose "Ray" as her middle name because she wanted the same one as her dad.

I've always wanted to call her "Milly", until I saw those slutty Myspace pics, then I had some other names to call her. She's 15, I'll be good.

NEW YORK (AP) -- It was ever so brief, but the use of a body double by Miley Cyrus on her best-selling "Hannah Montana/Miley Cyrus 'Best of Both Worlds'" tour is creating plenty of buzz.

A video posted on YouTube shows the 15-year-old entertainer as "Hannah" dancing onstage with a group of dancers and the Jonas Brothers, also on the tour. During the song, someone ushers her offstage via a trap door. Immediately, another girl dressed like the character "Hannah" in the same pink trench coat with blonde hair covering her faces dances around, runs up the stage set, and then quickly leaves.

While the double is holding a microphone for her less than a minute, the girl motions like she is singing. However, a rep for Miley said the switch was only for costume purposes.

"To help speed the transition from Hannah to Miley, there is a production element during the performance of 'We Got the Party' incorporating a body double for Miley," according to statement Friday from the public relations firm PMK.

"After Hannah has completed the featured verse on the duet with the Jonas Brothers, a body double appears approximately one to two minutes prior to the end of the song in order to allow Miley to remove the Hannah wig and costume and transform into Miley for her solo set. Other than during this very brief transitional moment in the show, Miley performs live during the entirety of both the Hannah and Miley segments of the concert."

Miley's "Hannah Montana" tour is one of the nation's hottest tours, selling out within minutes when tickets went on sale last fall. Some people have been reselling tickets for thousands of dollars. Miley has released two albums under the "Hannah Montana" brand, both of which have sold more than two million copies.

Miley Cyrus is starting to see the darker side of fame, the press has attacked her over these so called "scandalous" pictures taken of her and a best friend during a sleepover party (clearly at a hotel)... Miley responded to z100 about what is an obvious desperate attempt by the press to make something out of what is clearly no big deal.

The Hannah Montana actress told in a Z100 interview, “At first, I was really upset. It really sucks. It’s not something I’m going to let slide. I’m really upset about it, ’cause it was, like, not even a big deal. [She’s] a friend of mine that’s a normal girl. … That’s one of my best friends. I have all these girls who I hang out with all the time. This girl doesn’t even have to deal with that, and it’s so hard. [Now] she has to go to school and deal with this crap.”

Apparently the press’ attention to her “girl time” may have been a bit presumptuous, given the media’s penchant for scandal. Miley explained, “It’s two girls at a sleepover, and if all of a sudden that’s bad, then what is the world coming to? What I decided before I came out to L.A. and started working was the minute I didn’t have fun was the minute I go home. I don’t want to go home, and I don’t want to not do what I do, because I love it, but this … it’s Satan attacking.”

Miley Cyrus got to go home to Nashville to celebrate her birthday with more than 15,000 hometown friends, who serenaded her with "Happy Birthday" toward the end of her concert, complete with pyrotechnic displays and a cake delivered onstage reports Fox News.

"I'll tell you guys that my main wish when my parents asked me, 'Miley, what do you want for your 15th birthday?', the only thing that I had to say was, 'I want to be here at home with Nashville and all of you guys".

"The reason that I do what I do is for all of you guys," she said. "Anyone from a small town can go out there and live their dream, and so to be here with you guys tonight on my birthday is amazing."

She should have asked for braces.
