Two doctors, one in Texas and the other in California, are currently under investigation by federal DEA investigators, according to NY Daily News:

The doctors - one in California, one in Texas - are believed to have supplied the "Brokeback Mountain" star with the powerful painkillers Oxycontin and Vicodin, law enforcement sources said. Authorities want to know if the drugs were prescribed illegally.

"It's an ongoing investigation," a law enforcement source told The News Tuesday. "It's not clear if there was any wrongdoing."

Besides Oxycodone and Vicodin (also known as Hydrocodone), autopsy results also showed that Ledger's system contained Diazepam (commonly called Valium), as well as Temazepam, which treats anxiety or sleeplessness; Alprazolam (also known as Xanax); and Doxylamine, a sedating antihistamine often used as a sleeping aid.

Heath Ledger is in a music video for "Black Eyed Dog", for which he directed and starred. The video was a tribute to Nick Drake, British folk singer that died in 1974 by an overdose of anti-depressant, amitriptyline. Heath made the video as a tribute for the artist for whom Ledger was obsessed.

The video displays "disorienting" and "eerie" images that include Ledger drowning himself in the final scene. These images were shown also on many tv stations at the time of Heath's death, but the video is just now available by The Nine Network, who gained exclusive rights to the video.

Heath's funeral was Wednesday in Perth, Australia.

Michelle Williams has had to do the unthinkable by having to tell her daughter that her father isn't around anymore.

“Michelle basically told Matilda, ‘Daddy went away.’ Matilda still doesn’t grasp it.”

Matilda, who was often seen around New York City on her daddy's shoulders before his death. Friends say she “looks just like her father”.

FOOTAGE has emerged showing HEATH LEDGER partying with two strangers at a Hollywood drugs party.
In the video the late actor can be seen talking to the men, who are snorting cocaine.

The murky vid was shot in January 2006 at the Chateau Marmont hotel and Ledger can be heard talking to the men about his then-three-month-old daughter Matilda.

While Ledger was partying, his then-girlfriend MICHELLE WILLIAMS was upstairs with their baby Matilda in a separate room.

At one point, he can be heard saying: "I'm going to get serious s*** from my girlfriend. We had a baby three months ago...

"I shouldn't be here at all."

Ledger does NOT take drugs in the footage, which has been seen by The Sun.

It will not be shown in full on American TV after the stations due to broadcast it declared: "Out of respect for his family, Entertainment Tonight and The Insider have decided not to run the Heath Ledger video."

Instead they showed a small part of the film.

In other news Heath’s last movie, The Imaginarium of Dr Parnassus, is fast becoming a tribute to the tragic star.

Heath Ledger
's battle with alcohol and drugs was so harmful to his relationship with Michelle Williams that she tried to get him to enter rehab, Us Weekly reports.

For three years, Williams was a firsthand witness to the gifted actor's use of alcohol and drugs, including cocaine, heroin and "a variety of pills," says a Ledger confidant.

In March 2006 – just weeks after the couple walked the Oscars red carpet and when daughter Matilda was only five months old – Williams drove Ledger to Promises Treatment Center in Malibu, California, the confidant tells Us Weekly.

Ledger refused to check in, instead swaying her with a pledge to clean up.

Even after the couple realized "they were in way over their heads," according to a source, and split in September 2007, two sources tell Us that Williams demanded Ledger be drug-tested before his visitations with Matilda.

When news of Ledger's death broke last Tuesday, Williams was inconsolable. "She cried and screamed as soon as she heard," a source on the Swedish set of her latest film, Mammoth, tells Us.

So sad.

An impostor pretending to be Heath Ledger's father fooled Tom Cruise into consoling him over the phone — and nearly got John Travolta to buy him a plane ticket to the United States, sources told the New York Post.

The con artist also tricked the Frank E. Campbell Funeral Home in Manhattan, where Ledger's body was held before being flown to Los Angeles, into booking him and his "family" rooms at the Carlyle hotel nearby on Madison Avenue, sources told the Post.

The man falsely claiming to be Kim Ledger also spoke on the phone with the doctor who performed the autopsy on the "Brokeback Mountain" star, a spokeswoman for the Medical Examiner's Office confirmed for the Post.

Cops want to arrest the scammer on fraud and larceny charges, and sent detectives to Ledger's wake at the funeral home Friday in hopes of catching him, New York City Police Commissioner Ray Kelly told the Post.

But police do not know the identity of the impostor, who "had a couple of conversations with" Tom Cruise asking for emotional support, a source told the Post. Cruise abruptly cut him off when he learned "he was an impostor," the source said.

Ledger, 28, was found dead last Tuesday. A cause of death has not yet been determined.

I get the desire to screw with Tom Cruise... but this is not the way to do it, shame on this man!

A brief memorial service was held for Heath Ledger last night at Westwood Village Memorial Park around 8:00 PM.

Attended by Heath's immediate family and a small group friends, that included Naomi Watts, reports TMZ.

I thought God was all knowing, all loving and all powerful, but in Topeka, Kansas, God is a hater!!

They plan to picket the SAG awards, calling Heath Ledger a "dead pervert".

This is an example of how dangerous religion can be when the bible is misinterpreted. Here is their schedule of ridiculous, hateful protests: godhatesfags

These people are disgusting!

TMZ caught British Brit waiting for Carla outside of Rite-Aid on Jan. 25. When asked if she was sad over Heath Ledger, she tells that paps that, "he's not really gone. Nobody ever really ever dies".

Yeah, you keep thinking that Brit. She also says, "I'm sick, but in a good way, ya know?".

We know! For sure you're sick, but it ain't good girl.

The body of Heath Ledger on it's way from NY to Perth, Australia for the private funeral in Heath's hometown.

Ledger's publicist, Mara Buxbaum, said funeral arrangements "will continue to be kept private at the family's request."

Their immediate plans were not known, though Australian Foreign Minister Stephen Smith said his government would do whatever is needed to help the family bring back Ledger's body to Australia, FoxNews reports.

A spokesperson for NYPD said today that they do not plan to question Mary-Kate Olsen in the case of Heath Ledger's death, although she has become inextricably blended into the surrounding details.

In this TMZ video Mary-Kate Olsen was hurrying out of an office in Beverly Hills right around the time she allegedly received a panicked phone call from Heath Ledger's masseuse on Tuesday.

The masseuse who found Heath could be facing jail time. Masseuse is a "health profession" in New York, where CPR is a requirement.

Diane Lee Wolozin, the private masseuse who found Heath Ledger's corpse in his SoHo loft does not have a license to practice in New York, state officials said Thursday. It is a requirement to have a license in the state of New York for any person who uses the titles "masseur, masseuse or massage therapist".

"We're referring the matter to the New York City Police Department," agency spokesman Jonathan Burman said. "We're notifying them that she is not licensed in New York State."

Wolozin could face a potential felony charge, officials said.

Under state law, anyone not authorized to practice a licensed profession could be charged with a Class E felony.

Wolozin told cops she found Ledger face down about 3 p.m. Tuesday in his bedroom. She then called Mary-Kate Olsen from Ledger's cell phone. When Ledger did not respond to being shaken by Wolozin, the masseuse said she called Olsen again from Ledger's cell phone to inform her that she was going to dial 911.

According to the account, detailed by police, an emergency operator then instructed Wolozin on how to administer CPR to Ledger.

Anyone applying for a license to be a masseuse in New York must show documentation that they have received CPR training.

Burman said his agency checked into Wolozin's status after her name surfaced in media reports on Ledger's death.

“We have notified the New York City Police Department as part of their investigation that no one by that name is licensed as a massage therapist in the state of New York,” says Jonathan Burman, spokesman for the New York State Education Department.

Kathleen Doyle, Executive Secretary for the State Board, says, “I can only tell you that in New York state, at this time, the law requires that any person who uses the titles 'masseur, masseuse or massage therapist' must possess a license. It’s a health profession in New York.”

Heath Ledger died January 22, 2008. Here is an interview with Heath just a couple weeks ago talking about his new movie "I'm Not There". Very sad, you can tell he is a very genuine and good person.

Heath's kind family each contributed a piece about him in an Australian newspaper. Respectively, they are very hard to read without completely losing it. Especially words from his dad like, "no more chess games mate . . . this is it, couldn't beat you anyway!"

What a lovely family.

In one of several messages in the death notices section of the West Australian on Friday, his mother Sally wrote:

Our darling boy, special in so many ways to all of us. You knew you were so loved. You lived life with courage and daring and we are so grateful for the wonderful times we shared. We will be there for Matilda.

His older sister Kate, who called her brother by the pet name "Roast," wrote:

I can hardly breathe when I try to write this. We were the ultimate in soul mates. I feel both my heart and life have been torn apart. I loved our special talks, our daily chats from where ever you were in the world.

I especially loved all the precious time we spent together. We were so fortunate to have you as long as we did. You were so many things to so many people, but to me you were just my little brother.

There will never, ever be another "Heath" and I think that in itself is the greatest tragedy.

I will continue to talk with you everyday and love you just as if you were here. You will never leave my thoughts "Roast", ever.

A Message from His Father

His father Kim, who called his son by the nicknames "Heatho" and "Beef," writes:

My beautiful boy, so loving, so talented, so independent, so caring, so young . . . no more chess games mate . . . this is it, couldn't beat you anyway!

My body aches for the sound of your voice, our chats, our laughs and our life and times together.

Your truly varied artistic skills, insatiable desire to improve and eclectic abilities set you apart from any other person on the planet . . . it had only just started for you ... and for us to further enjoy. We were one, in soul and commitment. Just . . . Father and Son. I will love you forever, Dad.

His Entire Family Writes

And a note signed by his entire family read:

How do we describe our sudden and tragic loss? ... You were the most amazing individual "old soul" in a young man's body.

You so loved us, as we dearly loved you. As a close knit and very private family unit we have observed you so determined yet quietly travelling in your self-styled path in life, nothing would get in your way ... no mountain too tall, no river too wide.

You dreamed your dreams and lived them with passion and intelligent commitment. We have been privileged to accompany you on a ride through life that has simply been amazing and through it all, we have loved each other beyond imagination.

Your true legacy lives on in beautiful little Matilda, who will always remain in the greatest of care. Our hearts are broken.

Why Mary-Kate you may ask? I did. First we heard that Heath was with her when he died. Then maybe it was the Soho apartment of the Olsen twins that Heath rented for $23,000 per month. Then we hear that she was called first, before 911, when Heath was found, but why??

Well, PEOPLE is reporting that the two were casually dating, having met back in 2006, when he lived at Chateau Marmont.

"Mary-Kate and Heath were casually dating for three months before Heath's death," a source has told PEOPLE. "They were hooking up, but neither were particularly interested in making it exclusive."

As for what drew the two together, says the source,

"They had a bond that was based on partying, and they had the same tastes in partying ... like, in terms of where they liked to hang out in New York, what time they would want to go out. They just had the same sensibility."

At the time of their first becoming acquainted – the summer after Ledger's Oscar nomination for Brokeback Mountain – Ledger and Olsen were spotted together having lunch at the Chateau with a group of friends, and Ledger was described as being charmed by Olsen, who made him laugh as he would scarf down a big meal.

"Mary-Kate made him laugh a lot," an eyewitness recalled.

Both the New York Post and Daily News reported this week that Ledger, 28, and the Olsen twin, 21, were dating.

John Gibson still finds his insensitive and joke about Heath Ledger's passing, to be funny after much criticisms today.

He says, "there's no point in passing up a good joke".

On his radio show yesterday, Fox News host John Gibson responded to ThinkProgress’ criticism of his comments mocking the death of Heath Ledger, saying that it was just “a little Brokeback Mountain joke” and there is “no point in passing up a good joke.”

Without offering any sort of apology, Gibson defended his callous comments by claiming that “for months and months and months,” his show has consistently made fun of the line, “I wish I knew how to quit you” from Brokeback Mountain. “I’m not giving that up,” exclaimed Gibson:

GIBSON: How many months did we live off that line, Brokeback Mountain?

BROKEBACK MOUNTAIN CLIP: I wish I knew how to quit you.

ANGRY RICH: Several.

GIBSON: I mean, it was going on for months and months and months.

BROKEBACK MOUNTAIN CLIP: Wooee, yeah!

GIBSON: I’m not giving that up.

Listen to it:

Fire him!

Poor Michelle, she is said to be devastated over the loss of Heath. I feel like she is the closest to the situation because of the grief she will feel for her daughter Matilda. It will be very difficult raising a child who has lost a parent, especially such a bright young star, who's death will remain in the news for quite some time.

Michelle Williams arrived home in New York on Wednesday, traveling from a film set in Sweden with 2-year-old daughter Matilda following the death of Heath Ledger, PEOPLE reports.

Reports claim Williams is being comforted at home by her mother, Carla, and actress Busy Philipps, who starred with her in the TV series Dawson's Creek and is Matilda's godmother. (Jake Gyllenhaal is the godfather)

Just hours earlier, the body of Ledger was released by the coroner to a New York funeral home. Memorial arrangements had not been announced.

A source close to Williams told PEOPLE the actress was "devastated" upon hearing the news. She and Ledger split in September, but they both agreed that parenting their daughter came first.

"I can't believe Matilda is going to grow up without a dad, without knowing her father," another source told PEOPLE. "And that Michelle will have to deal with having a daughter who's lost her father. She's a survivor. She'll make it, but it's going to be hard. Her first concern is going to be Matilda."

This is very sad, indeed. Our hearts go out to Michelle, Matilda and his family.

Larry Williams
, the father of Michelle and grandfather to Matilda told Australia’s The Daily Telegraph that Heath Ledger’s death has left his family broken hearted.

Mr. Williams said, “I think [poet] Tennyson got it right in the poem when he described someone as having died at a young age but burning the candles at both ends, and oh what a beautiful flame he made, that was Heath, what a beautiful flame he made and a great talent.

“My heart goes out to everyone in his family and my family. The saddest thing is his 2-year-old daughter [Matilda] whom he just loved dearly.”

Sources close to the investigation tell CBS station WCBS-TV in New York's Investigative Reporter Scott Weinberger that along with the prescription drugs that were found in the apartment, police also recovered a $20 bill with narcotic residue on it.

Sources add they also found several drug packets containing an unknown substance. WCBS-TV has learned these items were all listed on the official police report from the scene.

To be clear, it's still unknown whether these items belonged to Ledger or whether he even actually ingested them.
