During a peprally A Nacogdoches High School cheer leading team carried out a performance in poor judgment involving a mock execution style shooting and toy guns. The Center High Roughriders is a rival school that had come to steal the NHS mascot. The skit involved the NHS cheer team dressing up, wearing cowboy hats and carrying toy guns while rounding up and shooting the Roughriders, execution style. Several students were offended by the skit, deeming it inappropriate and taking action by circulating a petition that currently has 122 signature, protesting "gun promotion". Leave it to Texas!
