How romantic.

A financial software programmer, Bernie Peng, hacked into his girlfriend's favorite game, "Bejeweled" and created a level on the game for which to propose.

While Tammy Li was playing "Bejeweled" she was surprised to find a ring and marriage proposal appear, when she reached a certain score. To which she said, "yes".

The loving hacker, Bernie Peng told The Star-Ledger of Newark, "I thought it was pretty cool, in a nerdy way".

Bernie posted the news of the month-long hack, on his blog. PopCap, the Seattle company that makes "Bejeweled," will fly the couple to Seattle as part of their honeymoon and plans to hand out favors to the wedding guests at the couples Labor Day weekend wedding.

"Most video game companies would frown on people manipulating their games," said Garth Chouteau, a spokesman for PopCap.

"But it won him a woman. As a bunch of geeks we have to say, 'Bernie, hats off to you."'

Happy Wedding!
