Dick Wilson who popularized the phrase "Please don't squeeze the Charmin", died today at the Motion Picture and Television Hospital in Woodland Hills, CA. After a long career, lasting more than 70's years and over 500 commercials for Charmin from 1964 to 1985, Proctor and Gamble issued the statement.

His acting career included many radio, television, movies and theater.

The brand manager for Charmin said Wilson "deserves much of the credit for Charmin's success.
