Lately, Keith's numerous, strident special comments have been wearing thin on me, like he's trying too hard to emulate Edward R. Murrow. But I appreciate this special comment. Thanks, Keith.
Here's to you Larry Nodarse. Protest Prop 8, November 15!
McCain aides have been "bashing" Sarah Palin, or giving a little background on the behind the scenes during the campaign with Palin, saying things like she didn't know that Africa was a continent and she did not know which countries were part of NAFTA. Campbell Brown makes some very good points, when she says to McCain aides: "Can I please remind you of one thing? You picked her".
That's what we say!
SNL keeps the hits coming and this week was no exception. John and Cindy McCain joined in for some laughs last night and I have to say, it's the most interesting and/or charming he's been this entire election.
A very mean-spirited McCain supporter, Shirley Nagel of Grosse Pointe Farms, Michigan, refused to give "handouts" to trick or treaters that came to her house, on Halloween, if their parents were not voting for McCain. When she was asked why she was discriminating, her answer was, "Oh well. Everybody has a choice."
Creepy.
Vomit. So, the two most annoying Republicans in the land have united. Soul mates. These two are each, so individually annoying, we're willing to bet they end up in a major breakup like Dr. Phil and Oprah.
Here Elisabeth Hasselbeck is opening for Sarah Palin to show her support in Florida, Friday.
Last night on SNL’s new Thursday night episodes Will Farrell, as dubya and Darrell Hammond, as McCain joined SNL’s GOP boss, Tina Fey, as Sarah Palin.
These guys are hilarious and it makes us want to go see W all that much more!
Natalie Portman always gets the guys going, even when she's being very serious. She wants you to vote, so she shows her puppies!
Are McCain/Palin Rallies Breeding Hatred
8:25 AM | Barack Obama, John McCain, politics, Sarah Palin | 0 comments »This sort of hatred is dangerous.
Yesterday John McCain addressed his "fellow prisoners" of the United States of America. Are we imprisoned here? Is that what the former POW has in store for us?
His dummy side kick Sarah "one heartbeat away" Palin is just looking around smiling, oblivious to the major gaffe.
Yikes!
Things got heated on The View, as usual, Elisabeth Hasselbeck was running her fat mouth about Obama and his relations. Sherri fired back at her with a sharp and juicy response about McCain and how he left his wife, Carol Shepp, that had been waiting for him, all of his years as a POW. Here's the story.
Barbara Walters did what she could to tone the ladies down saying that the past should be the past.
It's Joy's birthday and she just wants a cake. Happy Birthday Joy!
"We ask ourselves, what would a Maverick do and we do that!", Tina Fey nailed her spot-on impression of the VP candidate Sarah Palin, again on SNL last night. Queen Latifa played the part Gwen Ifill, pimping out her new book.
I'm so glad Tina hit on Sarah's ineffective use of words, that's gets me more than the "Joe Sixpack", winking, Alaska namedropping, and over-use of the word "there".
Things Went Down On The View
3:03 PM | Barbara Walters, Elisabeth Hasselbeck, politics, The View | 0 comments »
Finally, today on The View, Barbara Walters put her "boss hat" on and forced an answer out of the mouthy Republican counterpoint, Elisabeth Hasselbeck. Babara pointed out that no matter the topic, if it's Republican Elisabeth will fight for it without reason, by saying, "Every single day you never ever say, maybe there's another point, so this is your chance. Tell us now why you think that Sarah Palin would make a very good President."
Elisabeth was totally put on and fired back at Barbara, asking her why she thought Obama would be a good president. When pushed, she finally delivered some half-ass answer about McCain being qualified because he has lead a brigade. What ever!!! Why is war and fighting all they can think about? ...And Barbara didn't ask why McCain would make a good president.
Anyhoo, she laughably used Sarah Palin's gaffe from last night's interview with Katie Couric, when she called her state a "microcosm of America".
Another Katie Couric Interview

The Governor of the "Microcosm of America", Sarah Palin did another interview with Katie Couric, where she was asked specifically, what news sources she read to help her shape her world view and Sarah just could not find an answer. She could not come up with one source. Not one, I mean, The Economist?, Foreign Affairs? Parent? ...Good Housekeeping? .... Anything? Nope. She answered generally, by saying she read "everything". Well it certainly doesn't show!
She also insinuated that Joe Biden was old, by saying she remembered him back in 1972, when she was in second grade. Good work! He's 65 running for the backup job and her running mate is 72.

Bush's proposed $700 billion financial bailout plan was rejected today, when the House vote turned against the measure due to the many risks, sending the Dow down 700 points, CNN reports.
Less than 1/3 Republicans were in favor of the bill.
President Bush is said to be "very disappointed".
The core of the bill is for the government to purchase troubled assets, which some Republicans argue would be a blow against economic freedom, weighing either a loss of short term prosperity or a long term loss of economic freedom. Once the government enters the financial market, it will not leave.
Supporters of the vote were scrambling to put the bill up for another vote.

Dumb Quotes From Dumb People
9:10 AM | Dan Quayle, funny, George W. Bush, politics, Stupid | 1 comments »

Sarah Palin has given us so much material, in so little time. Her Katie Couric interview rivals some of the great quotes by other political figure heads; we bring you:
Vice President J. Danforth Quayle VS. President George Walker Bush:
VICE PRESIDENT DAN QUAYLE
"I have made good judgments in the past. I have made good judgments in the future."
"If we don't succeed, we run the risk of failure."
"A low voter turnout is an indication of fewer people going to the polls."
"It isn't pollution that's harming the environment. It's the impurities in our air and water that are doing it."
"We have a firm commitment to NATO. We are a part of NATO. We have a firm commitment to Europe. We are a part of Europe."
"Illegitimacy is something should not talk about in terms of not having it."
"Quite frankly, teachers are the only profession that teach our children."
"We are ready for any unseen event that may or may not occur."
"I stand by all the misstatements that I've made."
President GEORGE W. BUSH
"And there is distrust in Washington. I am surprised, frankly, at the amount of distrust that exists in this town. And I'm sorry it's the case, and I'll work hard to try to elevate it."
(On facing the challenges of war) "Make no mistake about it. I understand how tough it is, sir. I talk to families who die."
(In a CBS News interview) "You know, one of the hardest parts of my job is to connect Iraq to the war on terror."
"I was not pleased that Hamas has refused to announce its desire to destroy Israel."
"I know how hard it is to put food on your family."
"Reading is the basics for all learning."
"We ought to make the pie higher."

Unfortunately for Sarah Palin and John McCain, the VP candidate made a splash this weekend and it's not for another great week of interviews. It looks like McPain is in trouble!
We haven't seen a VP make such a mockery of themselves, since Dan Quayle, so does that mean McPain still has a shot at winning the election? Our magic 8 ball says, "Unfortunately, without a doubt!"
Let us first say that John McCain is a good old man. Sadly he suffered many torturous years in Vietnam as a P.O.W. and has a long history in the U.S. Senate, but that doesn't deem him fit to be president.
America just cannot take 4 more years of Bush's reign of terror and if you believe McCain some of the time, then you will believe he supports the Republican president 90% of the time. Yikes!
Here's Wanda Sykes on Leno talking about the bailout plan and Sarah Palin. She flat out calls her crazy!
Last night Chris Rock was on Larry King Live and was asked if he was proud that a black man is running in this stage of our history, on a major ticket. Chris Rock's response was hilarious, when he said, "Um, you know what? I'm proud Barack Obama's running for president. You know? If it was Flavor Flav, would I be proud? No. I don't support Barack Obama because he's black."
Point well taken!
Sarah Palin is beginning to take Paris Hilton's place as the joke of America. I like that she's wearing pink too, a totally executive color.
