In other hillbilly idol news, Britney was watching last night and was so moved by the breaking news that children in Africa were dying of Malaria, she up donated $25,000. See what you learn when you watch a little TV Brit? Gah!

An inside source told Life & Style Weekly that Brit couldn't stop crying while they showed the bit about the unfortunate babies in Africa, dying from Malaria.

“She did it all on her own. She watched the show and cried for like two hours over the children in Africa with malaria. She didn’t know much about the disease, so she Googled it. She was horrified to realize kids were dying from mosquito bites. So she went online and donated after getting [her dad] Jamie's permission. She used her Amex.”

Good for her! Now that she's discovering her philanthropic side, she'll probably be inspired to write a song with lyrics like "we are the world we are the children we are the ones who make a brighter day so let's start giving there's a choice we're making we're saving our own lives it's true we'll make a better day just you and me".

Once you get out of Starbucks, there's a whole world out there.

Now Brit needs to consider giving back that predator weave. What the hell?
